An Odisha-based man has captured the internet’s attention by launching a Diwali rocket using Amazon’s Alexa device. Mani, known for his creative projects, shared a video on his Instagram account, Mani’s Projects Lab, where he commands Alexa to launch the firecracker.

In the video, Mani says, “Alexa, launch the rocket,” to which the device responds, “Yes boss. Launching the rocket,” as the firecracker takes off. The clip has since gone viral, amassing over 23 million views and is captioned: “Launching the rocket with Alexa.”

Curious social media users were eager to learn how he executed this experiment, prompting Mani to post a tutorial on his YouTube channel. In the tutorial, he explains how to create a smart rocket launch system using Alexa and an ESP32/ESP8266 microcontroller.
