IMD Issues Yellow Alert for Dense Fog in Odisha, Night Temperatures Set to Rise

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for dense fog in various districts of Odisha. This comes as parts of the state continue to experience reduced visibility due to heavy fog during nighttime and early morning hours. The IMD predicts these conditions will persist for the next two to three days but anticipates a gradual rise in minimum temperatures, bringing relief from the intense cold.

Weather Update: Rise in Minimum Temperatures

The IMD forecasts no major changes in the minimum (night) temperature over the next 24 hours, followed by a rise of 2-4°C across Odisha districts. Residents can expect milder nights as cold wave conditions are likely to subside.

Dense Fog Warning for Odisha Districts

The IMD’s yellow alert specifies the following districts for dense fog conditions:
Day 1: Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Koraput, Sundargarh
Day 2: Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Koraput, Sundargarh
Day 3: Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Koraput, Sundargarh, Sambalpur

Residents in these areas are advised to exercise caution while commuting and take necessary safety measures during dense fog conditions.
