Mukesh Ambani-Backed Sterling & Wilson Stock Rises After Winning Major Gujarat Solar Project

Shares of Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy rose after it won a major renewable energy project in Gujarat. Reliance and Shapoorji Pallonji groups both have stakes in the company.

The stock is valued at ₹6,608 Crore. It opened at ₹286.70, up 1.55% from the previous day’s close. Later, it reached a high of ₹288.90, rising 2.33%. The stock’s yearly return is down 61%. However, over five years, it has gained 95%.

Project Details: Big Solar EPC Win

Sterling & Wilson won a 225 MW (AC) grid-connected solar photovoltaic (PV) project. This is an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) turnkey contract. The project was awarded by a major public sector company in Gujarat. This is the company’s first domestic order in fiscal year 2026.

Chandra Kishore Thakur, the company’s Global CEO, said the company has a strong presence in Gujarat. He is confident the company will win more orders soon. The company’s order pipeline remains strong.

The company’s revenue grew 113.83% year-on-year. It rose from ₹1,178 Crore in Q4FY24 to ₹2,519 Crore in Q4FY25. Revenue also increased 37.12% compared to the previous quarter, which was ₹1,837 Crore. Net profit jumped 5,400% year-on-year, from ₹1 Crore to ₹55 Crore. It also rose 223.52% quarter-on-quarter, from ₹17 Crore.
