Horrific Incident in Delhi: 34-Year-Old Woman Allegedly Raped and Abandoned in Sarai Kale Khan

Police officials stated that the woman was discovered in a semi-conscious state by a passerby around 3:30 a.m. on Friday, who immediately contacted the authorities.

Upon receiving the alert, a Delhi Police team quickly arrived at the scene and transported the victim to the AIIMS Trauma Center for urgent medical care. The initial investigations revealed that the woman had been sexually assaulted at a different location before being dumped in Sarai Kale Khan, a relatively busy area in the city.

The victim, who hails from Odisha, had relocated to Delhi approximately a year ago. She had been living with another woman in Katwaria Sarai but was reportedly asked to leave in August due to a dispute. This situation forced her to live on the streets for several days prior to the incident.

According to police reports, the victim is a graduate who was recently spotted in southeast Delhi’s Jamroodpur, where she allegedly attempted to trespass into a private residence. However, no complaints were filed regarding this incident. It was also reported that she had spent a night in an ATM booth in Kishangarh.

The police have stated that the victim is currently under observation but has been inconsistent in her statements and is not cooperating with the investigation. Authorities have informed her family about the incident and are actively working to identify the perpetrators. They are reviewing CCTV footage and utilizing technical surveillance methods to aid in the investigation.
